Micah
Micah was a contemporary of Isaiah. He served as a prophet in the 8th century BC. The world power at this time was Assyria which had conquered the Northern Kingdom of the divided Israel. Those professing to be people of God were practicing sensual idolatry and the leaders were corrupt. Micah called for repentance and announced judgment.
  Judgment is coming; mourn
 2  Woe to those who plan evil and oppress; prophets lie
 3  Wicked rulers and prophets
 4  Mount Zion will triumph
 5  Messiah will come; Victories but scattering
 6  The Lord has a complaint against Israel; punishment
 7  Woe, confession, and forgiveness
